Best places to shop in Atlanta to help stick to your decorating budget
As a designer, I’m always asked to pick out the best furniture pieces, area rugs, paintings, and fixtures. With unlimited funds, this can be simple. However, if you’re like most of us, we all want to get a good deal, knowing we made the best purchase with the resources we have available. Where do we go to find great interior decorating deals in Atlanta?
Below is a list of my favorite budget-friendly Atlanta department stores, and what I look for when I’m there!
By far my favorite place, HomeGoods is my go-to store for great pieces of designer furniture for less. Their buyers work diligently with merchandisers worldwide to bring unique products to our doorstep. But beware – those high-end designer items enter the showroom in limited quantities, so if you see something you like and leave it there, don’t expect to see it again. Looking for an art piece or stylish baskets? You can walk in with $20 bucks and come out with both of them easily. My kind of place!
CB2 is Crate and Barrel’s clever kid sister. The items featured are modern, clean, and simple, but fun, artsy and different at the same time. The prices are college-grad appropriate, so you can make a chic upgrade from dorm room to apartment easily! CB2 also offers limited-edition pieces whose sales provide funds for housing and education in underprivileged areas.
ONE KINGS LANE
A free, members-only site, One Kings Lane offers limited-time sales on some of the most famous brands in interior design. You can transform an entire room or simply add a statement piece. With new sales every day, you never know what great finds will be available, so it’s like visiting a boutique furniture store from the comfort of your home.
JOSS & MAIN
If you like the online, free, members-only formats already mentioned, Joss & Main is another great find. From unique seating to seasonal decorations, any object you didn’t know you needed is up for grabs. You can sign up for daily emails that inform you of the latest collections available at up to 70 percent off retail prices.
Tuesday Morning is an upscale, deep-discount retailer specializing in domestic and international, designer and name-brand closeout merchandise. Brands they sell include Lenox, Denby Pottery, KitchenAid, Steinbach, Wedgwood, Reed & Barton, Breville, Peacock Alley, and Royal Doulton, among others. It’s so fun to see what treasures lie within!
And a few other favorites:
I hope you’ve discovered a few new or forgotten places in Atlanta you can shop for interior decorating accessories and home furnishings for your home! If you need help with picking out purchases, I’m always here to help! What favorite shops do you frequent for great home buys? Go ahead, tell us in the comments!
